Sasol Engine Oil Multigrade J4 15W-40 is a premium heavy duty engine oil formulated to meet the most stringent performance requirements of the API CJ-4 service category for 2007.


Sasol Engine Oil Multigrade J4 15W-40 is intended for all on-and off-highway medium and heavy duty diesel vehicles built prior to 2007 and models built from 2007.

Sasol Engine Oil Multigrade J4 15W-40 is recommended for naturally aspirated, turbocharged or EGR diesel engines and most gasoline engines. This oil is also suitable for many transmissions and other applications requiring high quality engine oils.

Sasol Engine Oil Multigrade J4 15W-40 meets and exceeds the performance requirements of diesel and petrol engine manufacturers.

Storage and Handling

  • Use PVC, nitrile or other oil resistant gloves and protective clothing to prevent skin contact. Where eye contact is a potential hazard, goggles should be worn.
  • Avoid temperatures above 80°C and strong oxidizing agents.Ambient temperatures and atmospheric pressures normally encountered within buildings or roofed-over outdoor storage areas are acceptable.
  • Avoid entering areas where mists or vapours have built up as a result of abnormal temperatures or pressures without the proper breathing equipment and protective clothing.
